3-12-2015 240-08/01 Mindfulness-based interventions in the clinic - background, methods, and application

The aim of the course is to provide students with fundamental background knowledge of the history and methods of modern evidence-based mindfulness-based interventions as well as give a more general introduction to stress and stress reduction in the context of neurophysiology. In addition, the course will present and discuss different clinical applications of mindfulness programs and recent findings of psychological, neurobiological, and molecular changes following mindfulness-based interventions. Finally, the course will raise the debate of “best practice” for future implementation of evidence-based mindfulness-based interventions in modern healthcare, and in society.
